Day 26: Karimabad
Alarm, hearty breakfast (we are worried because we do not eat and no activity and then we put on pounds to kilos), tours of the town of Karimabad.
The day began with the sight of fort (castle) Baltit of Karimabad (800 years old). It 'similar, but smaller, the Potala in Lhasa, the religious and administrative headquarters building of the Government of Tibet, which stands on the rock. The visit was Velca, but interesting: there are suppelettili and the rooms where the king lived in both summer and winter.
After the visit has started shopping, we thought to deal in China, but the people of Hunza like our Genoese are quite drawn to the prices!
Something we bought, but not much, maybe we'll make in Islamabad or Rawalpindi, where we spend the last day before taking the plane.
We look forward to being at home, because we know what to expect Tomorrow: Twelve hours of bus, hopefully, to get to Besham.
Today we met three students (two Italians and a Spaniard), who have a scholarship to catalog plants and forest trees in Pakistan. They leave for home on July 30 and stayed here a month like us, sleeping in a tent is the University of Padua, which finances the project lasting three years.
For us it is now time for dinner, then prepare a backpack, a shower, then sleep.
