Day 7: Base Camp
Yesterday, when we set off on their way to Base Camp after 30 km we were subject to passport control. The landscape is lunar, only flowing water is green. The van quickly rises, we are at 4,000 meters. Finally, in front of us, left and right we see the Muztagh chain Pamir. Arriving at the starting point for the base camp locations are attracted to our material and in particular the closure of some bins. We offer rice, bamboo, egg with tomatoes, almonds, raisins, and of course tea. We walk for 20 miles (635 vertical meters). We arrive in just over three hours, we assemble the tents (some problems because of lack pieces). We eat! It's cold, the storm is upon us.
Today's hot.
Tonight we cooked us pasta and grain, "tastes of home."
Now it snows.
